WARRANTY POLICY

Duration of warranty

This limited warranty applies only to the original end-user customer of the product for so long as the original end user customer owns the product. This limited warranty is non-transferable. Warranty is null and void if there is physical damage present when the item is returned via RMA. ALL items returned to Wintec Industries are inspected, and any physical damage will be discovered during this technical evaluation. Please do not return damaged physical product. *Limited to 10 years in EMEA

The Wintec and Filemate warranty is non-transferable and is enforceable only by the original purchaser. The warranty only covers products purchased as new from Wintec/Filemate or our authorized vendor. This warranty does not apply to products that are obtained as a result of the purchase of a product not sold by Wintec/Filemate. This includes any e-commerce wholesale market places or third-party vendors. Wintec/Filemate does not offer tech support for products not sold by Wintec/File or our approved vendors.

Product Returns

United States

You may return the Filemate product directly to Wintec Industries service center after emailing our Support Center team via supportcenter@wintecind.com or by calling contacting them at Toll-Free 1-866-989-4683. Once you have obtained an RMA from Wintec Industries, you must, within 20 days, ship the Filemate product to Wintec Industries with the provided RMA Issuing Form which has the return address information. The Filemate customer is responsible for the cost of insuring and shipping of the returned Filemate. Products shipped to the Wintec Industries service center must be properly packaged to prevent damage in transit. Please note that Wintec Industries is not responsible for damaged or lost Filemate products in transit. The customer must use the exact address provided on the RMA Issuing Form. If the Filemate customer sends their Filemate product without the RMA Issuing Form or does not provide sufficient proof of purchase information, the Filemate will be returned to you, and the RMA case will be closed.

Outside of the United States

Wintec Industries currently does not accept any RMA requests from outside of the United States, its Protectorates, and APO addresses. The Filemate customer is more than welcome to file an RMA claim following the steps above once the customer has returned and has a valid return address in the United States.

Exclusions from this Limited Warranty Service

Wintec Industries does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of this Product.  Probably should be, “ Wintec Industries does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free usage for any Wintec / Filemate product.

Any technical or other support provided for the Product under warranty, such as assistance via telephone with “how-to” questions and support regarding product setup and information will be provided without warranties of any kind.

The Product Warranty only covers failures or malfunctions that occurred within the warranty period with normal and proper use. The warranty will not apply if:

  1. The serial number of the Wintec /FileMate product, components or accessories has been altered, canceled, removed, or otherwise not valid as Wintec Industries.
  2. The product has been tampered with, repaired and/or modified by non-authorized personnel.
  3. The product warranty seals have been broken or altered.
  4. There is damage caused by natural disaster, intentional or unintentional misuse, abuse, neglect, acts of war, improper maintenance, or use under abnormal conditions.
  5. There is damage caused by accidental drops, spills, fire, or power surges.
  6. There is damage from improper installation, improper connection, or use of parts and/or components not manufactured or sold by Wintec Industries.
  7. There is damage from use outside of the operation or storage parameters or environment detailed in the Quick Start Guide or reasonably acceptable for similar product usage models deemed industry standard best practices.
  8. There is damage from third party software or virus(es) from items downloaded onto the FileMate product.
  9. NOTE: Wintec Industries is not responsible for software loss or data loss that may occur during the repair or replacement of the Wintec / Filemate product.
  10. NOTE: Wintec Industries is not responsible for damage to or loss of any program, data, or removable storage media.

Definition of Limited Lifetime Warranty

Wintec Industries stands behind our valued customers, and our warranty process and terms reflect this commitment. We are very proud to offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty for applicable products. Please review the definition of Limited Lifetime Warranty below.

“Lifetime replacement warranty only applies to FileMate products still in production. If the FileMate item is out of production and if Wintec Industries no longer stocks the item, the warranty is not assignable and no longer valid. “

Out of Warranty Clause

Wintec Industries does not offer out of warranty, “ OOW,“ services and therefore if the Wintec / FileMate product’s warranty has lapsed within the time frame provided with the initial proof of purchase, the Wintec  / FileMate product will not be accepted into our RMA facilities. Any unauthorized RMAs of Wintec / FileMate products will be returned to the end user.
