WINTEC Compact Flash™

Wintec’s Compact Flash cards offer reliable high speed and capacities for capturing extreme resolution images capturing for action burst images. It is based on a RISC processor with instruction set extension optimized for Flash handling. The superior wear leveling done by the controller chip involves all physical blocks including the ones containing static data to meet the most demanding requirements from users in a data traffic intensive environment.

The CF card consists of a 50-pin connector consisting of two rows of 25 female contacts each on 50 mils (1.27mm) centers. The CompactFlashTM cards are constructed with single-level-cell (SLC) NAND flash memory devices. It employs a variety of sophisticated functions, such as BCH error correction code (ECC) for dynamic error checking.  Bad-block Management routines replace worn blocks with spare blocks reserved by the controller on card initialization.

The Wintec CF cards offer capacities ranging from 4GB up to 128GB MLC using industry standard MLC Toggle NAND flash paired with the F4, SM2236 or P9 controllers.  The Wintec CF card optimizes writes to the flash memory and implements highly intelligent block management, wear leveling and lifetime management schemes to increase overall drive endurance and reliability.

The Wintec CF cards are optimized for performance, reliability, power and endurance to meet OEM requirements.
